The Day Before the Test
Don’t study too hard the day before the test. You’ve been working hard. Spend some time refreshing information. Maybe do a few practice questions or skim an instructional section from your preparation book. Take some time to relax.Getting a decent amount of sleep is also important. Sleep way longer than usual and you may end up feeling drowsy during the test. For most people, getting a little more sleep than usual is best. For example, 8 hours would work well for someone who usually sleeps for 7 ½ hours.
Most standardized tests take place in the morning so it’s a good idea to wake up earlier. This gives you more time to become awake and alert. Eat a good breakfast and consider doing some light exercise and taking a shower. All of these will give you energy and make you alert. Wear your most comfortable or favorite clothes and bring a light snack and water for the break. Basically, do everything to make yourself feel great when you are testing.
