Chances are, you’re old enough for a job now. Look for a job and/or an internship. Both are good experiences as well as resume builders. Plus, it never hurts with a job or paid internship to have a little extra cash.

It is also a good idea to take classes over the summer at your local state university or community college. These classes often count for credit at your high school and/or can be counted for credit when you go to college. They are also a good resume builder because they show your academic competence at college level courses. Lastly, because you can choose from a wide array of classes, you can pursue your interests and become more knowledgeable and skilled.
