Choosing a Career
Choosing a career path is one of the most important decisions of your life. Your career will probably occupy a larger percentage of your waking life than any other activity. Most people spend 40 hours or more every week at their jobs. Besides this already huge impact, your career path will also severely affect the quality of your remaining “leisure” time by determining your financial resources, stress levels, etc. Finally, what you decide to do with your life will affect what course of study you must pursue. This course of study can be short or long, light or arduous, and immersed in one particular subject or spread over many.As you should already be able to see, deciding on a career path is of paramount importance to your life. As such, take it slowly and carefully. Spend time and put forth thought and effort. Be open minded to all possibilities and even after “deciding”, don’t rule out at least the small possibility of later altering your choice.
