Step 3: Create a plan

In order to motivate yourself to cook better-tasting food, you should plan a week in which you eat nothing but lunches/dinners that you cook yourself. If you need more ingredients, create a budget that you can't go over. You'll find that buying fresh ingredients that you prepare yourself is cheaper most of the time than ingredients that have been prepared for you.

If that's not enough to motivate you, invite some friends over for some homemade food.
