Start a Club
If you are interested in a certain activity or have a certain vision for a club that your school doesn’t have, start the club. Sometimes starting a club sounds like a momentous and difficult task, and in reality, it isn’t easy. On other hand, almost every single extra-curricular activity had to be started by someone. It requires a little extra effort, but it can definitely be done.Some additional benefits:
1. Obviously, founding the organization is the best way to participate in or promote a certain activity that isn’t available at your school.
2. Founding a club shows leadership, organization, and vision on an application. These qualities are especially important for scholarships and college applications.
3. Taking the initiative to start a club, building support, organizing, and leading all come together to make founding an organization a valuable experience. It will teach you about bureaucracy, how to manage efficiently, how to be a leader, etc.
