Math Olympiads Club
When you think of “Math Olympiads” or “math competitions”, I’m sure your first reaction is to snicker. Yes, I’ll admit that activities involving math do sound rather nerdy and geeky. But what’s surprising is that these math activities are actually pretty fun—and you get to meet fun people (who, surprisingly, are not all nerdy!).Math Olympiads is a widespread club that may already be established at your school. Check it out! The various competitions throughout the year are fun and great opportunities to meet people from different schools. The actual competitions vary from state to state, but there are a couple of national math competitions.
