Making a List: Step 1
If your list of potential college choices is completely empty, start at Step 1. Otherwise, skip to Step 2.Step 1: Pick a college, any college.

If you get too many colleges in the results, go back and be more picky. The goal is to get less than ten colleges that suit you almost perfectly (stats-wise at least). Click on some of the colleges and go to their websites. The Princeton Review website is a good site to look at statistics more in-depth, and it also includes rankings in many categories and anecdotal statements from the students at the college.
Don’t like the college? Love the college? Why? The goal right now isn’t to find the perfect college for you right off the bat. You’re trying to find out what’s important for you. What really attracts you about certain colleges?
